Essential Oils Facial Serum
Nancy’s essential oil facial serum choices
Today I want to share with you a couple of facial serums that I have run out of and need to mix up more of. I decided to jump on here and share it with you too.
We know that our skin is our largest organ and our face and neck are seen first in most cases.
Aging is something that we don’t always want to embrace but regardless it is going to happen. Caring for our bodies shows in the results that we have and get.
So today I want to share with you a couple of facial serums that use your essential oils and have benefits throughout all our day.
Here’s my video –
Many of us have decided to ditch the toxins for the benefits of our bodies, and minds. We need options that serve us best. I could list those toxins but that is not my focus today.
What Skin Type Are You?
We could also talk about skin types but that has been covered often. If you want to study this further, join my class. (______skin type class______________)
Let’s get to the good stuff.
Today we are going to make 2 serums with the essential oils.
2 Serums with Essential Oils
The first one will be my “Night” serum contain Lavender, Cedarwood, Jasmine, and Frankincense.
The second one is my “Day” serum contains Frankincense, Rose, and Myrrh.
For many years, my skin was very blemished, so we think of oily or combination skin. But it was also dry – it was so crazy that finding the right combination of skincare was a challenge.
When I started with essential oils just applying Lavender essential oil and a couple others that great healing potential was making a big difference for me. I also used a moisturizer that sealed in the essential oils to work for me all day and night.
Now a big part of creating your serum is knowing you skin type and knowing what viscosity your carrier oil should have.
do you have a
Do You Have A Favorite Carrier Oil
(not an extensive list)
- Vitamin E Oil
- Coconut Oil – fractionated
- Grapeseed Oil – all purpose, massages, blending with other heavier oils
- Sunflower Oil
- Sweet Almond Oil
- Rosehip Seed Oil
- Jojoba Oil – really a liquid wax
- Shea Butter – more for nought skin, knees, elbows.
These should be pure, cold-pressed, raw, organic.
These are the choices I like to use: Sunflower Oil has the lightest or the thinest viscosity. Great for day-time wear. I prefer a blend or Grapeseed and Sweet Almond for my night -time serums on a rotation.
As for the choice of essential oils in the serum you have many options – choose ones that make you feel great – that makes you smile more often.
Let’s make these serums . . .

Day Time Serum for me is
- 3 drops of Frankincense
- 2 drops of Myrrh
- 1 drop of Rose
For the Night-time Serum
- 3 drops Lavender
- 3 drops Frankincense
- 2 drops Jasmine
- 2 drops Cedarwood
When I was first starting out with serums – I wore them every day under my moisturizers. I used the Sweet Almond Oil to start with. Now as I have share, I have found that as I use these combinations, I generally have reduce the amount of serum I use and length time that I leave it on my face. I think that since my lifestyle food choices improves, my water intake increase to a gallon per day and the conditions of life, helped my skin is to get healthier too.
I hope that you find the same.
