Travel Plans are always exciting
Discover our 5 must-haves for your trip. You are planning a trip this summer? A lot of us are looking forward to getting out of “town”!
While we are on vacation we should keep up with our wellness and personal care routines. Must-haves include bug support, skincare, and hair care.
Whether you are flying, driving, hiking, camping; whether your destination is a sunny beach, a city hotel, or a remote trail, you want to stay healthy and feeling your best. Sometimes the question is how to take all the comforts of home without over-loading your bags?
5 Must-Haves for Summer
We should take care of our skin and body every season. Each season brings us an awareness of body care. During the summer we are outside more, which is a wonderful thing with the bright sun and the warm air.
Supplements
A key must-have is Vitamin D is a big one. We need that every day of the year. If we decide to get our VITAMIN D for our source, then we need to have a large area of our skin exposed for 10-15 minutes 3 times per week. We should have exposed our arms, legs, back & abdomen. Another source is Young Living’s Vitamin D – keep this in mind when you go into the seasons that have less sun, and we don’t leave like revealing our skin so much in that cooler/colder temperature.
Topical Applications
Looking into my must-have stock. This week I needed to make sure that I had enough of these products for our family and our summer. We like to boat and hang out at the beach, so SUNSCREEN (spf 10* or 50) are essential. Now in the quest to get enough natural VITAMIN D, we sometimes get a little sunburn, so for relief and healing LAVADERM COOLING SPRAY OR (LAVADERM AFTER SUN SPRAY*) OR/AND CLARADERM are solutions that I want to take along. It is great to have it as soon as possible. If you do get sunburned, another great product is PEPPERMINT essential oil, it takes the “fire” out of the burn. I like follow up with a lotion or the VANILLA-MINT BODY BUTTER. It is nice and thick, so refreshing for going to bed with! Also, available LAVENDER LOTION or SENSATION LOTION, each of these is a great product. Must-haves, it’s hard to keep to just the minimum.
Bug Support
Must-have bug support. If you love the nighttime campfire season, INSECT REPELLENT, in a liquid* or a wipe, so convenient and easy to use. How about those evening walks – keep the pest (fleas, mosquitoes, and ticks) at bay, with an alternative insect repellent infused with essential oils.
Hair Care
Must-have hair care. Our hair can take a beating in the sun and surf. So be sure to use a nourishing Shampoo and Conditioner. I have thick, coarse hair and really love the COPAIBA SHAMPOO & CONDITIONER, we have others options, so look into those as you are shopping. After you finish cleansing your hair apply MIRAH HAIR OIL*. Can be used on your hair wet or dry. Apply from the ends of your hair and work up the shaft of the hair. I don’t like it on the top of my hair – the crown of the head.
Whatever you do these few products should be in your suitcase or backpack this summer.
